VYAS volunteers supported the opening ceremony of the 2025 China Film Week. Volunteers assisted with on-site coordination and helped guide guests throughout the event. Their participation contributed to the smooth operation of the opening ceremony while supporting a cultural event that brought the community together to celebrate film and cultural exchange.

VYAS volunteers supported the stage performance of the classic dance drama Nine-Colored Deer at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. Volunteers assisted with audience guidance, helped distribute and manage event materials, and supported backstage coordination with the stage team. Their participation helped ensure the performance ran smoothly while contributing to a positive and organized theatre experience for the audience.

VYAS volunteers supported the Sound of Harmony Gala, part of the fourth “In the Name of Love” multicultural community festival. Volunteers assisted with event operations and on-site coordination, helping ensure the event ran smoothly for guests and participants. The gala brought community members together in a warm and lively atmosphere, celebrating cultural diversity and shared connection.

VYAS volunteers supported the sixth session of the Hand-in-Hand Reading Club with a back-to-school themed reading activity titled “Seeking Wisdom, Embracing Dreams.” Volunteers accompanied children during reading and interactive discussions, creating a supportive environment that encouraged curiosity, learning, and confidence as students prepared for the new school season.

VYAS volunteers supported the 16th session of the Hand-in-Hand Craft Workshop, part of the VYAS support program for youth with autism. The activity focused on traditional hand-weaving crafts guided by an instructor. Volunteers accompanied the children during the activity, offering support and encouragement. Volunteers accompanied children with autism during the activity, offering guidance and encouragement as they explored the game of mini golf. The event created a joyful and supportive environment where children could enjoy outdoor activities, build confidence, and interact with peers through shared play and teamwork.
