On the evening of November 29, 2025, the Youth Starry Night Ceremony took place in Richmond, bringing together young volunteers, families, partners, and supporters from across the community. This annual gathering showcased the journeys and contributions of young people involved in community service throughout the year.
With the theme “Light the Sky, Keep Love Aglow,” the ceremony celebrated the belief that every young person can bring warmth and positive change to others. The atmosphere was lively and heartfelt, as attendees shared in performances and moments of recognition.
Youth participants took to the stage with music, dance, and creative presentations, expressing their unique voices and the confidence they have gained through service. Each performance reflected commitment, creativity, and the meaningful connections formed along the way.
Certificates and awards were presented to individuals and groups who demonstrated outstanding dedication in community work, leadership, teamwork, and advocacy. These recognitions honored not just achievement, but growth, effort, and impact.
Several young speakers shared their personal stories, describing how volunteering shaped their perspectives and encouraged them to take action. Their reflections reminded the audience that even small acts of kindness can resonate deeply within the community.
The ceremony was also attended by government and education representatives, who expressed strong appreciation for the platform VYAS has built for local youth. Chak Au, Member of Parliament, acknowledged the organization’s long-term encouragement of youth participation in community service and praised young volunteers for using compassion and action to support those in need. Looking forward, VYAS reaffirmed its commitment to expanding programs that support youth engagement, cultural exchange, and community service, creating more meaningful pathways for young people to grow and make a difference.
